It’s no secret that we have some serious talent right here in South Australia. We have strong, inspirational business leaders across all industries – but what might surprise you (or maybe not?) is the level of up and coming talent right here in Adelaide. That’s right – “Kidpreneurs” are on the rise here in Adelaide. Youngsters that have started their own business and are absolutely smashing it. Some have seen a gap in the market, some have taken a hobby or interest and turned it into a profitable business and some are doing what they can to raise money and support causes close to their heart.

We all know supporting local businesses is SO important, but how about supporting local AND supporting the next generation? We feel good knowing the South Australian economy will one day in the hands of these superstars!

Plants & Hearts

Plants & Hearts is run by the very talented Zoey, who at just ten years old has created a range of products for teens and tweens inspired by essential oils.

Zoey makes room sprays, roll on perfumes, lip balms and more. She has signature scents that will motivate you, assist in falling asleep or help you focus. They are all made from scratch and contain only natural ingredients. All of Plants & Hearts products and packaging are also plastic-free, woohoo! Keep Plants & Hearts in mind next time you need a gift or a treat for yourself – your mind, body and heart will thank you!

Every months, Plants & Hearts chooses a charity and donates 10% of all sales to that organisation – how fantastic is that?

Frankly Soy

Frankly Soy is a soy candle business that was started by Layla when she was 11 years old.

She looked into various options and what was better for the environment and then found a wholesaler where she could source sustainably, ethically sourced and recycled (glass) products. Not long after, she began testing and trialling candle making from her family home in Lockleys and hasn’t look back since.

Since then she has added hand poured diffusers and a few new scents to her range to appeal to a wider customer base. She has attended various local markets, has a facebook page and sells her candles to many repeat customers. She even refills candle jars and diffusers for customers to support waste reduction.
