Connect with nature with a series of fun school holiday activities this summer!

Join a tabletop escape room with a twist!
In Chandelier Heist, kids will follow the clues and solve the puzzles to find the stolen Palm House chandelier – created by world-famous artist, Dale Chihuly – and return it to the glasshouse before the Adelaide Botanic Garden opens for its special Chihuly Nights event.
In teams of six, players will work together at their table to unlock all the boxes and beat the clock.
Sessions available for 7-12 year olds, and 13-16 year olds.

Unleash your creativity at a Chihuly in the Botanic Garden workshop.
Join us for a hands-on workshop as you’re guided through beautiful Adelaide Botanic Garden by a professional artist and illustrator.
On a leisurely stroll, you will explore awe-inspiring artworks by world-celebrated artist, Dale Chihuly.
Stopping at different glass sculptures in the exhibition, you will take part in a variety of art-based activities where nature provides the inspiration!
Participants will be provided with drawing materials to complete each activity.
Finish the workshop at the In Full Colour: Dale Chihuly exhibition inside the lush rainforest conservatory, where you can participate in the Moore Critters competition.

Whacky Wildlife and Funky Flora with Wild man!
Calling all adventurers big and small, it’s time to ready your senses and let your imagination run wild!
Be prepared to experience thrilling encounters with nature and learn to see the world through the eyes of a naturalist.
Embark on a journey with Wild Man, your enthusiastic guide to exploring the rich tapestry of birds, bugs, beasts and botanicals that call the Adelaide Botanic Garden home.
There are endless opportunities to hone your bird-spotting skills, identify incredible plant adaptations and immerse yourself in the rich biodiversity that surrounds you.

Moore Critters competition
Young people are invited to use their imaginations and draw a creature that has adapted to live in Dale Chihuly’s colourful world – his thickets of Red Bamboo Reeds, Macchia Forests and Mottled Trumpet Flowers.
Each month, leading local glass artist, Tom Moore, will select a winner and create that critter in glass at the JamFactory hotshop. At the end of the exhibition, winners can take home their own Tom Moore original!
There is no fee for children to enter this competition, but please note that parents/carers will require a ticket to enter the conservatory.

Chihuly Nights
Be mesmerised by dramatically lit glass sculptures at this evening event.
As the sun sets on an enchanting garden, discover soaring sculptures by the world’s most celebrated contemporary glass artist.
From the setting sun to the artwork’s dramatic nighttime lighting, witness how the changing light lends new dimensions to the 15 playful, vibrant artworks on a journey through Adelaide Botanic Garden.
Included in your Chihuly Nights ticket, explore the rainforest conservatory exhibition, In Full Colour: Dale Chihuly, where an additional collection of works can be found nestled in the lush botanical setting.
Head to the pavilion in the heart of the garden to enjoy live music and something delicious to eat and drink from award-winning caterers.
