We love a mud kitchen and had been searching for a great local product to test for what seemed like an eternity, so when the opportunity came to road test a kitchen from Mud Kitchens by Jack, we jumped at the chance.

Locally manufactured by small family business (shout out to Emily and Jack), these beautifully crafted kitchens are made with skill, quality materials and are built to last. With a range of designs to suit your budget and space (we recommend jumping on their insta and taking a scroll to see what takes your fancy), we actually can’t speak highly enough of the product and service.

Here is the kicker….the kitchens have RUNNING WATER! Incredible we know, but with plumbing fitted, running water is just a moment away for your little pie maker and all you need to do is connect your hose to the pre-installed plumbing outlet attached to your kitchen. Watching the face on the kids as they turn on the taps and actual water comes out is priceless. We parked our kitchen near a drain in the back yard and the water simply drains away without much fuss. The quality is so good (with proper sinks and tapware) that you could probably steal it off the kids when you entertain…but enough of our crazy ideas.

Utensils, sand and plastic plates/cups can also be supplied as extras depending on your package. We also bought a standard sized BBQ cover to give our kitchen a bit of extra protection in the winter when it wasn’t in use.

So what are you waiting for, flick Jack and Emily an email or DM and get your order in for these highly sought after mud kitchens.

  • Got yourself an emotional support drink bottle and want to fill it with something equally as satisfying? We were given a 9L benchtop Alkaline Water Filter from the folks at Earths Water and I will admit I started out a bit sceptical if it would really make that much difference........ it does. This isn't our first water filter, we've owned a ceramic candle type one for years, replace it every 6 months or so and to be honest I never stopped to think "Gees! this water tastes good" it just hasn't really been something I've thought about. What I definitely did notice from my first glass of water from this filter is that it has no distinctive taste, and it's not until you've tried water with no taste that you realise that tap water, or the water you might be currently drinking DOES have a taste, and it's probably not a good one. The design of the benchtop filter is sleek with it's natural bamboo stand and high borosilicate glass (no crappy plastic) and one thing I really love is the speed of the tap. You could listen to an entire podcast while filling up a water bottle with our…
