Here at Kids in Adelaide you know we LOVE a local place we can take the family for a meal that everyone will enjoy, and the Paradise Hotel is just that place – it even has an indoor cinema! In fact, the Paradise Hotel caters for families so well, they have TWO cinemas to make sure all the kids enjoy their visit as much as the adults do!

The folks at Paradise Hotel have really thought of everything for families with children wanting to dine out. Having been recently renovated, the whole place is looking great and there is now a dedicated family section, with a range of tables that look straight into the 2 indoor cinema rooms. Children can enjoy a range of in-house movies or ABC Kids etc in the multi-row cinema rooms while the adults sit comfortably just meters away and able to keep an eye on them through the windows. Our kids had a ball watching Bluey and other faves while they waited for their lunch to arrive.

Speaking of lunch – it comes highly recommended! The decent sized children’s meals were a hit with the youngsters, while older children and adults will enjoy a great range of meals, including all the usual favourites and a few new ones. The schnitzel and the Southern Fried Chicken Burgers impressed our family, along with a good drinks list to enjoy too. As an added bonus, the kids meals at Paradise Hotel come with a zooper dooper to finish!

For those looking for a venue that caters for all, be sure to check out Paradise hotel. You can book large groups in the families area so that all the kids can enjoy the cinemas while your group celebrates. Or just grab a table for your immediate family for a casual dinner where someone else cooks and cleans up! They also do kids parties, show live sport, have a gorgeous log fire in the winter, and a number of fantastic dining areas that will make sure you have the perfect day out.

If your children plan to make use of the cinema’s you will want to book a table in the family area and let the staff know your preference so that you can oversee the kids. Adult supervision is essential in the cinemas and you can only do that from the family area. So book a table, get a family or two together and enjoy a long lunch or dinner with friends while the kids have as much fun as you do at the Paradise Hotel.

  • A family friendly restaurant with a built in kids cinema? Shut up and take my money! The newly renovated Tower Hotel, out on Magill Road at Magill is a majestic old property that has been an icon in the area since around 1840! The renovations have done wonders, with a number of different areas within the precinct catering to pretty much everyone, with a great family area, spacious outdoor area that would be perfect in summer and sports and cocktail bars. During our visit with the fam, we sat in the lovely family seating room adjacent to the kids cinema. Thats right it has its own cinema, complete with raised bench seating and projector, it was actually hard to get the kids back to the table to eat their food. Speaking of the food, the kids menu has everything you want here at a good price ($10 bucks which includes a small ice cream for dessert), but it would be remiss of us to not mention that the kids hotdog is about half a metre long. Credit to Mr 7 who gave it all he could, but it is good to know that your kids won't leave here hungry. For…

  • Uraidla Hotel, simultaneously best and worst pub in Uraidla (that's kind of the joke because it is the ONLY pub in Uraidla), but if you are only going to have one pub in a country town it better be a good one right.....? Well let us tell you.....it is. It definitely is! Only 20 minutes from the city (how lucky are we to have this beauty right on our doorstep), this stunning location was perfect when we popped in to help celebrate a family birthday recently. I mean look at the photos, you can almost smell that clean, crisp country air can't you! The kids loved the spacious outdoor areas complete with outdoor games (Jenga for the win), totem tennis and a nice little playground. There's also a footy oval a few metres away. Food wise Mr 7 highly recommends the kids Meatball Macaroni Bake which at just $12 bucks is spot on value wise. Our older kids were left wishing they were under 12 as well so they could try the chicken bacon parmi, and the macaroni bake with cashew cheese sounds delish - and a nice option for kids who are dairy free or vegan. A nice range…

  • Find it at: Greenglade Drive, Paradise Do you have a Dinosaur loving kid? Greenslade Playground at Paradise is a lovely little spot with a really cool dinosaur that you (or the kids...but don't let me stop you!) can climb all over and through a little dino-tunnel! How cool! The dino is enough to make this stand out from the playground crowd, but it also has a great range of equipment too. With a fabulous 5-swing, which is more suitable for the younger kids, a long slide, some climbing logs and some great climbing equipment, we are convinced there is something here your kids will enjoy. Being next to the river, there is a lot of great walking trails and also some seating and shelter, but there is sadly no toilets or car park (we just parked on Greenglade Drive).
