The 2023 built playground offers a fantastic, modern build which offers something for all ages. Highlights include the tube slide and combing tower, with a small flying fox, swings and rocking equipment nestled amongst the existing parkland.
Lovely shade from the mature trees within the park and some seating available. A really good quality suburban level playground and a great spot for the locals.

This local playground /park is suitable for a mixture of age groups however the play equipment only caters for toddlers. The equipment features a small swing set including baby swing, 2 small slippery dips , a swinging hammock , climbing area and a couple of small play equipment. Half the area is covered by shade .What is great about this park/reserve is that the play equipment area is fenced off, has a good size grassed area and a half key basketball court. Within this area you also have the use of toilets and BBQ facilities. What I also like about this park is that outside the fenced playground area you also have the use of tennis courts and for the pooch lovers there is a huge dog park /sports field. It even has off street parking. Why not bring the family, put a sausage on the BBQ, have a hit of tennis or try for a slam dunk on the basketball key whilst you also get to keep the pooch happy at the dog park. In need of a coffee on the way you either have OTR service station on the corner of Diagonal and Oaklands Road ( probably not…

In the reborn AAMI Stadium (or Footy Park for those old enough to remember) precinct, the Mosaic Hotel and Hey Caddy at West Lakes (plus X Golf) offers a fabulously unique combination for a family friendly night out. Go on a Monday for lunch or dinner and you can get one FREE kids meal, including a soft drink and ice-cream with every adult meal purchased PLUS 9 holes of Hey Caddy mini-putt for FREE! Spacious and modern, Mosaic offers a number of comfortable seating areas, all of which are family-friendly and suitable for younger kids. We landed on the big booths, which gave Mr. 4 ample space for his impromptu gymnastics session, with the natural light offsetting the cosy yet stylish decor perfectly. The kids’ menu is available 7 days a week for both lunch and dinner and features favourites like nuggets, fish and chips, and pasta. It’s everything parents could hope for in a child-friendly menu, complete with the bonus of a free ice cream and soft drink with every meal. The little ones will be thrilled! And if they need a little encouragement to finish their dinner, the promise of mini-golf upstairs is sure to do the trick!…

Find it at: Tiranna Way, West Lakes. Talk about location, location, location! We often forget we have an incredible lake over at West Lakes which provides some of the most beautiful scenery in town. This is a spectacular spot which if you visit on a nice day like we did, will make you feel like you are on holiday at some sort of fancy resort. There were a lot of things we loved about this one. The view of course. Obviously! But we loved the sandy beach and the little diggers (lovely surprise they were!), the shade sails were fantastic, the grassed area is great for a picnic or a lay down on a towel plus there is a bike track around the lake to top off the visit! Perfect. A few things to note though, it isn't fenced. A big issue with the nearby water so take note of that. Coffee (very important detail) is highly recommended from 'Old Habits' at the end of the road. There are toilets thankfully but no BBQ areas, which is a bit odd as it is THE perfect BBQ spot. Bring a rug too as there is hardly any seating. The playground is…
