School Holidays UNPLUGGED @ Woodhouse Adventure Park

The Autumn edition of School Holidays UNPLUGGED is set to deliver an action-packed lineup of outdoor adventure, hands-on craft and science, and plenty of silly fun – just what the doctor ordered!

Designed for primary school children aged 5 to 12, this kids-only day camp keeps young adventurers screen-free, active, and engaged. Located just 10 minutes up the South Eastern Freeway, the program takes place in a 54-hectare nature wonderland in Piccadilly, Adelaide Hills.

Running from Monday, April 14, to Thursday, April 24 – with a break for the Easter public holidays – each day is filled with themed activities and unforgettable experiences. Kids will step into enchantment at Woodhouse Witches & Wizards, get messy at Muddy Madness, launch rocketships and shoot lasers at Galaxy Quest 2.0, and go wheelie crazy at Planes, Trains & Automobiles. They’ll crawl, climb, swing, and splash their way through obstacles, zoom down epic tube slides, and craft everything from mandalas and muddy monsters to jumbo games – and that’s just for starters!

With activities tailored for nature lovers, creative minds, sports fans, and thrill-seekers, every child is sure to find something they love. Each afternoon, they can choose their own adventure, whether it’s tackling the Challenge Hill obstacle course or enjoying a private Tube Slide session (weather permitting).

Touch a Truck at Civic Park

Families are invited to the Touch a Truck event, where kids can explore their favourite trucks, heavy machinery, and emergency vehicles up close. Held at Civic Park in Modbury, this free event will showcase City of Tea Tree Gully vehicles, garbage trucks, emergency vehicles, and more.

The Adelaide International Kite Festival returns to Semaphore beach in 2025!

Held over the Easter long weekend, families flocked to Semaphore to watch the sky fill with colour – the twists and twirls of kites of all shapes and sizes.

Meadows 4 Day Easter Fair

Meadows Easter Fair is held over the four days of Easter each year.

There is a wide range of stalls to investigate as there are about 30 stalls within the various rooms of the hall and another 70 stalls outside in the bituminised car park.
Free off-street parking is available and there are plenty of toilets at the park or in the hall. The fair opens at 9am and closes at 4pm.
The Meadows Easter Fair welcomes over 21,000 people to the family friendly easter event in meadows. With over 150 stallholders, musicians, and entertainment items, we are really looking forward to this annual event

School Holidays @ Woodhouse Adventure Park

Get ready for school holiday adventures at Woodhouse this autumn! Whether you’re visiting for the day or settling in for an overnight stay, you can expect memorable screen-free fun for the whole family… just 10 minutes up the South Eastern freeway on a 54-hectare nature wonderland at Piccadilly in the Adelaide Hills. Woodhouse is open every day, even public holidays!

Take the day pass option for unlimited access to the site from 9am to 5pm where you will climb, crawl, swing and splash your way through more than 30 obstacles on Challenge Hill, tackle a giant split-level maze, slide down two epic Tube Slides (running weekends and public holidays except Good Friday and Christmas Day), conquer the ultimate multi-dimensional outdoor bouldering challenge, negotiate an orienteering or photo hunt course, or have a round of disc golf (think golf with a frisbee).

For even more fun, pitch your tent (or pull up your van) at one of the unpowered sites (no minimum number of nights even on long weekends) or stay in one of the glamping bell tents or family chalets with all day activities included from 9am on your day of arrival to 5pm on your day of departure.

Woodhouse also has fully-facilitated ‘Drop and Go’ day camps in the school holidays from 9am (drop-off from 8:30am) to 5pm with thoughtfully programmed adventures specifically designed with age-appropriate activities guaranteed to keep primary school kids aged 5 to 12 screen-free, active and entertained for the whole day. The UNPLUGGED program runs every school holidays with each day including time on Challenge Hill obstacle course and a private Tube Slide session (weather permitting) – plus different special themed activities daily.

START at the Art

Start at the Gallery is FREE family fun day which includes an exciting introduction to art activities, tours, live performances and entertainment.
Held on the first Sunday of every month at 11 am – 3 pm for children aged 3-12 and their families.

On April 6 you can check out Twist in Time. Experience a twist in time this Start with Renaissance-themed tours and workshops. Explore art through making, movement and meditation along with a medley of music by DJ Angel and lutist James Logan.

Chihuly Free Garden Experience

Until the end of April 2025, visitors can experience the awe-inspiring works of Dale Chihuly, the world-renowned contemporary glass artist.

This FREE exhibition features 15 stunning large-scale glass sculptures, artfully placed throughout the garden’s lush landscape, waterways, and trees. Marvel at these intricate hand-blown pieces as they change with the seasons, creating a dynamic and unforgettable visual experience.

Sensory Friendly Sessions at SA Museum

The South Australian Museum are hosting a sensory friendly session during the April school holidays. These popular sessions allow visitors with sensory or accessibility needs  to enjoy a peaceful, less crowded visit outside of our regular opening hours.
Explore the Museum with adjusted lights, screens and sounds. Our sensory backpacks will also be available to borrow free of charge.
Bookings for this pay-what-you-can event are essential.  Tickets to the Treasures of the Viking Age: The Galloway Hoard exhibition can be purchased separately during the event.
