We love this playground! It’s small but perfect for the whole family.
The in ground trampolines are favourites with ours as is the climbing frame.
It has a shade sail but also surrounded by gorgeous trees, so often shady even on the hottest summer day. There’s a barbecue and picnic table and plenty of room to kick a ball. Across the bridge is a skate park, public toilet and Unley pool which has a cafe for coffee, ice creams and snacks in the months the pool is open.
This park is right next the Goodwood train station and a short walk from the Forestville tram stop for easy public transport access.
Two Sparrows Cafe and Kitchen as well as Dear Daisy cafe are a short walk away.
The Adelaide Showgrounds Farmer’s Market is right around the corner, so a great spot to stop on the way to or from the market.
The downsides are, no fence and there is a creek in the reserve. It’s rarely running but something to be mindful of if your little one likes to wander!

Find it at: Montrose St, Ferryden Park Located on Montrose St at Ferryden Park, this little spot has just had $155, 000 spent on an upgrade which is now open! There is new play equipment including a rubber softfall mat, slide, bouncy buggy, trampolines and double swings. They have also installed two new park seats and a new drinking fountain!

Find it at: Kooralla Grove, Kidman Park What a great little park this one is. With a fantastic range of play equipment, including some reasonably challenging climbing equipment to a playground with an enclosed twirly slide, this has something for most ages. It even has a heap of outdoor gym equipment but lets be honest, apart from sitting on the ski swingy one, nobody has ever used any of it....or is that just us? No toilets is the only let down here, but it has a BBQ, seating, a mix of toddler and traditional swings, several slides and is a really beautiful spot. There is no fencing but the river is about 100m away and it is in a nice quiet back street so you shouldn't have many issues.

Find it at: 36 Cecelia Street, North Brighton Ah beautiful North Brighton, so close to some of the best beaches in Adelaide and also some of the best playgrounds. Dulcie Perry Reserve is another hot spot which the whole fam will love. A nice and updated playground with equipment suitable from toddlers through to the 10-12 range, there is also a lot of well maintained grass with heaps of room for footy/picnic/frisbee/kite/nap time on a blanket. Lacking a bit of shade we must say which would be a bit of a downer in the hotter month, and not a lot of natural shade either. Toilets are also missing here and would be a welcome addition to an otherwise fab spot. No tables but there were some bench seats but overall a nice playground for the locals to let the kids burn off some energy. Equipment wise we loved the climbing equipment which is great for the older kids, but the toddlers were looked after with a nice slide and climbing set which was really popular on our visit with other families. Plenty of swings and other small bits and pieces to keep the kids entertained as well.
