This local playground /park is suitable for a mixture of age groups however the play equipment only caters for toddlers. The equipment features a small swing set including baby swing, 2 small slippery dips , a swinging hammock , climbing area and a couple of small play equipment. Half the area is covered by shade .What is great about this park/reserve is that the play equipment area is fenced off, has a good size grassed area and a half key basketball court. Within this area you also have the use of toilets and BBQ facilities. What I also like about this park is that outside the fenced playground area you also have the use of tennis courts and for the pooch lovers there is a huge dog park /sports field. It even has off street parking. Why not bring the family, put a sausage on the BBQ, have a hit of tennis or try for a slam dunk on the basketball key whilst you also get to keep the pooch happy at the dog park. In need of a coffee on the way you either have OTR service station on the corner of Diagonal and Oaklands Road ( probably not…
As soon as you approach this playground you really notice the brightly coloured modern play equipment. A local playground tucked away in the streets of Clovelly Park. This playground mostly caters for 4 years and above but there are a few pieces the toddlers could use. Set amongst a fabulous grassed area that can also be utilised this playground features a slippery dip, swing set including a baby swing, some fabulous pieces of climbing equipment including a mini rock wall and the awesome blue fireman pole to slide down. My favourite features would be the purple roundabout swing where if you go fast enough you get off with the wobbles ( a kids favourite) along with the tyre look alike climbing wall. With this piece of equipment you can either climb up, over or through and with its array of colour to me it is the attraction of the park. The playground has a few seats that can be utilised but does not have any shade , no toilets and no BBQ facilities. A great little spot if you live in the area. Find it at: Alison Avenue, Marion Not a bad little backstreet playground this one, which is a good spot for the locals and if you happen to be in the area and the kids need to run off some steam. It has a picnic chair, table and some lovely grassed space which was really nice on the sunny day we visited. Plenty of shade from the trees and the playground has a good variety of equipment to cater for the under 10s mainly. With a nice big twirly slide, swings, lots of monkey bars and other climbing sets to muck around on. The flying fox was a hit with our crew too as was the purple climbing thingy which we couldn't settle on a name for...but it was fun! No toilets, no water fountains, no BBQs sadly, but parking is not an issue here. It isn't fenced either but it is set quite a way off the road so safety wise it isn't much of an issue there either. Our little crew had a great time here so be sure to check it out if you are in the area. Oh it also backs onto Westminster School, so be sure…
