A garden centre might seem like a weird place to take the kids, but this is no ordinary garden centre. This is a JUNGLE! For a gold coin donation, you can meander through the 35 year old palm forest, go on a jungle animal hunt and visit the Fairy Garden. Grab a clipboard and pen from the shop and GO! You’ll need to look up and down and all around, and remember the animals might have moved since your last visit!

This fantastic adventure is fun for the whole family, young and old. Bring a packed lunch or picnic and take a break in the Summer House set deep in the Jungle.

The nursery and gift shop is huge and boasts one of the largest cover pot collections in Adelaide, to go with the amazing indoor and patio plant selection.

Jungle in Willunga are specialists in Bamboo and Palms and can help you create your own piece of the tropics in your very own back yard using plants suited to our Adelaide climate.

New owners are working hard to create new nature play spaces throughout the jungle and a coffee hut is being designed and built. What more could you want? See you at the Jungle!

So why not make a weekend of it and book a night or two at BIG4 Port Willunga Tourist Park With the sea and the vines so close this is great spot to make the most of both worlds. Nice combination for all the family. Beach speaks for itself which is walking distance and there are so many family friendly wineries in McClaren Vale to explore. With Aldinga town only a short drive away for some local eating places or takeaway and the he park has quite a few BBQ areas you can also utilise this is really a spot for everyone. You will find a variety of cabins to suit all budgets. From camp sites, to wooden huts to 2 bedroom fully catered for cabins. We stayed in a deluxe cabin that was spacious, very modern and great for families. Would have been quite happy to stay a few more days. Our cabin had a lovely decked balcony that looked out to the greenery. Whilst it was a colder weather when we stayed we imagined using…

  • The Fleurieu Arthouse is a real gem with so much on offer including an inspiring gallery/retail space that will get the budding artist inspired to create and you to make a few purchases. Then there are the workshop areas which enable you to see artists creating and an open space where school holiday programs are held. This place has so many little treasures: the kids art classes, trees to climb, the children’s play area and old school phone box in the retail space to keep the kids happily playing while you shop, painted butterfly wings for a selfie opp, gorgeous spaces to have picnics and even parties and of course amazing art and unique purchasing opportunities. For locals there are regular art classes running and if you’re coming from further afield and making a day trip of it there is a holiday program available to give your kids a taste of different forms of art and you a few hours to enjoy the grounds or area.  With the Arthouse being on the grounds of Hardy’s Winery in the historic hub of McLaren Vale there are many combinations of activities and experiences that are on offer. • Find it at: Warland Reserve, Victor Harbor Stage 2 of this fabulous development has been completed and it looks brilliant. The earlier redeveloped GT Fisher Playground in Victor Harbor opened in July 2019 and is located where the old train playground was, right near the horse trams, this nature playground will have the kids smiling all around. What an amazing interactive, quirky playspace the people of Victor Harbor have delivered. Based around the local community feedback and ideas the design and theme of this nature playground was to keep the strong ties of Victor Harbor. Indeed they have certainly managed to do this. These include the use of the granite, the inclusion of an island with causeway, a fisherman shack and railway inspired elements. They have hit the mark and created an amazing play space designed for all abilities and lots of inclusive play areas. We love how the play area caters for a variety of ages and certainly has something for everyone offering a range of adventures. For the older kids there are lots of climbing options and heaps of funky elements, sculptures and the like that inquisitive eyes will appreciate. For younger kids there's lots of rocks and logs…
