Playgrounds near ovals are always a winner for us. One because they mean there’s lots of space for running around, kicking a ball, flying a kite and two, there’s likely to be toilets.
Kingswood Oval Playground is also fully fenced (love that) and has shade. So it’s ticking a lot of boxes.
The playground is fully fenced (love that) and includes equipment for both the under 5s and older kids. There’s a climb and slide play station, monkey bars, swing set with an accessible basket seat and an inclusive roundabout and square trampoline. A shade sail and nature play rocks and logs have also be installed around the playground for shelter and extra activities.
Find it at: Princes Highway, Littlehampton Completed in 2024 and built to service new families moving into nearby developments, The Glebe is a beautiful open space with a minimalist nature playground, magnificent climbing tree, sand play and bike track. Its a dog exercise area too, so prepare for a number of dogs off lead, however the playground itself is free from dogs and is fully fenced. Plenty of nature, plenty of quiet and a lot of open space make this a wonderful space for hills families.

Where: Le Hunte Street, Wayville Le Hunte Reserve is a great little park tucked off Goodwood Rd in Wayville, so while parking is easy and it's lovely and quiet, it's close to amenities and easily accessible by the tram if you want to make it a bit of an outing. This little reserve has multiple slides, a hanging seesaw, swings, multiple bridges and lots of climbing options to best suit ages 3-9 year olds. There is a little play area underneath the raised platform for pretend play such as shops etc. We know you all love monkey bars, and Le Hunte Reserve playground has a couple of sets, including regular and handle bars. What we love: Fully fenced with plenty of shade Play equipment perfect for kindy and primary school aged kids with lots of climbing options A little creek (sometimes) runs under a bridge (all securely fenced) which is great for stick boat races Heaps of room to throw a frisbee, kick a ball, play hide and seek, have a picnic etc Community barbecue and seating Unfortunately there are no toilets located on site at Le Hunte Reserve but there is one at the BP just next door, and…
