Lolly Jar Circus is South Australia’s only inclusive circus school. It runs all the activities you would expect at a circus school – tumbling, aerial, stilt-walking, hula hoop, juggling and plate-spinning – but it is inclusive of children and young people with disabilities or at social risk. It is welcoming of people from all cultures. The “lollies” in the jar are the young people in all their amazing diversity and the lid is off the jar because they bounce out of their classes happy and confident. Their trainers all have Working With Children clearances and have been educated in autism, disability and inclusion. The atmosphere is welcoming, non-judgemental and supportive. For those with NDIS plans, they are a registered provider with the NDIS under Capacity Building – Innovative Social Participation – Increased Social and Community Participation. Lolly Jar Circus run classes at the Estonian Hall at 200 Jeffcott St, North Adelaide on Tuesdays at 4 and 5.10 pm Wednesdays at 2.50, 4, 5.10 and 6.20 pm And at the Spruance Hall on Spruance Rd, Elizabeth East on Thursdays at 4, 5.10 and 6.20 pm They can also come to your group or event, bringing all their colourful and shiny manipulation…
