As soon as you approach this playground you really notice the brightly coloured modern play equipment.
A local playground tucked away in the streets of Clovelly Park. This playground mostly caters for 4 years and above but there are a few pieces the toddlers could use. Set amongst a fabulous grassed area that can also be utilised this playground features a slippery dip, swing set including a baby swing, some fabulous pieces of climbing equipment including a mini rock wall and the awesome blue fireman pole to slide down.
My favourite features would be the purple roundabout swing where if you go fast enough you get off with the wobbles ( a kids favourite) along with the tyre look alike climbing wall. With this piece of equipment you can either climb up, over or through and with its array of colour to me it is the attraction of the park.
The playground has a few seats that can be utilised but does not have any shade , no toilets and no BBQ facilities. A great little spot if you live in the area.
Find it at: Montrose St, Ferryden Park Located on Montrose St at Ferryden Park, this little spot has just had $155, 000 spent on an upgrade which is now open! There is new play equipment including a rubber softfall mat, slide, bouncy buggy, trampolines and double swings. They have also installed two new park seats and a new drinking fountain!
Find it at at: Ethel St, Forestville We love this playground! It's small but perfect for the whole family. The in ground trampolines are favourites with ours as is the climbing frame. It has a shade sail but also surrounded by gorgeous trees, so often shady even on the hottest summer day. There's a barbecue and picnic table and plenty of room to kick a ball. Across the bridge is a skate park, public toilet and Unley pool which has a cafe for coffee, ice creams and snacks in the months the pool is open. This park is right next the Goodwood train station and a short walk from the Forestville tram stop for easy public transport access. Two Sparrows Cafe and Kitchen as well as Dear Daisy cafe are a short walk away. The Adelaide Showgrounds Farmer's Market is right around the corner, so a great spot to stop on the way to or from the market. The downsides are, no fence and there is a creek in the reserve. It's rarely running but something to be mindful of if your little one likes to wander! Find it at: Burnham Reserve, Kingston Park The Kingston Park Coastal Reserve is such a beautiful location. With the Brighton Beachfront Holiday Park and Seacliff Surf Club on one side and the Marino Coastal Trail walking trail on the other, the surrounds are just beautiful. Kids will love exploring all around the park, and although the playground equipment itself is relatively small, there are tennis courts and plenty of large play spaces to investigate and enjoy. This really is the perfect place for a birthday party, Easter Egg event or Christmas get-together. In front of the playground is the southern end of Seacliff beach and this is THE BEST place for kids to search rock pools, discover sea creatures and jump from rock to rock- basically they will have an absolute ball! Facilities: BBQ and eating area (under shelter) Playground Huge grassed areas to play and explore 2 public-use tennis courts Toilets (no baby change facility in toilets) Native Spring Close to the beach Things to note: The playground is not under shade cover and it isn’t fenced. However, the car park and road is quite far from the playground. The Marino Rocks Cafe has absolutely to die for fish…
