Belair National Park Holiday Park is a family run holiday park only 11km from the CBD. The park is situated in the picturesque Belair National Park and offers accommodation to suit all budgets and guests needs. You’ll feel the serenity as you arrive and breathe in the fresh eucalyptus filled air.
From glamping eco tents to cottages and powered/unpowered caravan and camping sites, guests can choose the option that is most suited to them and all within a stone’s throw from the walking trails, adventure playground, tennis courts (BYO racquets) and mountain bikes tracks that are scattered throughout the Belair National Park and surrounds.
During summer months, everyone loves the pool and school holiday movie nights.
There’s plenty of trails and mountain bikes tracks suited to all ages and levels – the family could spend days exploring, looking for koalas, emus, kangaroos or the odd echidna.
Behind the Holiday Park is the old Belair golf Course, which closed down a few years ago, but they’ve made a permanent orienteering course around it called the Birdie Loop. This is also one of the best tracks for kids that allows bikes close to the park, so we made sure to do a few laps of the 3.8km course. It is a fairly gentle climb for most of the time and then a great beginner level slalom track down to the bottom. We LOVED this and it had the added bonus of being next to a lovely little coffee hut. There is also a disc golf course which is now open discs are available for hire from The Holiday Park reception. The disc hire is really affordable, with a $20 deposit (which is returned) followed by a $5 hire fee per set of discs. We played with the whole fam, from the 3yo, 9yo and teens, then invited the grandparents too! It really was a fabulous experience that everyone got to enjoy, no matter the age or ability. I mean, everyone can throw a frisbee can’t they!
The amenities within the park are recently renovated and include a children’s toilet and basin, full size bath, disability bathroom and baby bath and changeroom. The large undercover BBQ area situated next to the newly updated playground allows parents to sit and relax with a drink (or in winter months, a comfort fire and marshmallows) while the kids enjoy the large, grassed area to play.
All of this within a half hours drive or easy train ride from the city and even better – it’s dog friendly too!

Find it at: Belair National Park, SA Located within Belair National Park and surrounded by 800 hectares of beautiful bush this playground is an oldie, but a goodie! These photos bring back so many memories for us. Can anyone else remember school excursions here in the 80s and eating massive bush biscuits? Sitting in the huge concrete tunnels and then scurrying away trying to hide from your friends. Belair National Park sells itself. An iconic spot in Adelaide with beautiful natural scenery, fantastic facilities scattered throughout to suit whatever occasion you are after. If you haven't visited the adventure playground in a few years, bring your kids and spend the day. They will love the open space, the iconic huge concrete tubes, wooden fort and playground equipment.
