Belair National Park Holiday Park

Adelaide Hills for Kids, Holiday @ Home {In S.A}

Belair National Park Holiday Park is a family run holiday park only 11km from the CBD. The park is situated in the picturesque Belair National Park and offers accommodation to suit all budgets and guests needs. You’ll feel the serenity as you arrive and breathe in the fresh eucalyptus filled air.

From glamping eco tents to cottages and powered/unpowered caravan and camping sites, guests can choose the option that is most suited to them and all within a stone’s throw from the walking trails, adventure playground, tennis courts (BYO racquets) and mountain bikes tracks that are scattered throughout the Belair National Park and surrounds.

During summer months, everyone loves the pool and school holiday movie nights.

There’s plenty of trails and mountain bikes tracks suited to all ages and levels – the family could spend days exploring, looking for koalas, emus, kangaroos or the odd echidna.

Behind the Holiday Park is the old Belair golf Course, which closed down a few years ago, but they’ve made a permanent orienteering course around it called the Birdie Loop. Check it out at www.sa.orienteering.asn.au for more information.

The amenities within the park are recently renovated and include a children’s toilet and basin, full size bath, disability bathroom and baby bath and changeroom. The large undercover BBQ area situated next to the playground allows parents to sit and relax with a drink (or in winter months, a comfort fire and marshmallows) while the kids enjoy the large, grassed area to play.

All of this within a half hours drive or easy train ride from the city and even better – it’s pet friendly too!

  • It is probably a given that on your Limestone travels you will pass through Naracoorte at some stage. Either as a destination to visit the Naracoorte Caves or as a half way point as you travel further south. Whatever the reason, the Naracoorte Holiday Park is not your run-of-the-mill regional caravan park. You may be accustomed to holiday parks having a jumping pillow and maybe a kids games room, but how about a mini golf course and a huge mini train! You don’t have to be a big train lover (but lets for a moment assume that I am….because I am) to enjoy doing a few laps with the kids around their track. They have a large selection of modern cabins to fit any sized family which would be ideal to put the feet up while the kids run off and play. Probably the most surprising (in a good way) part of our stay was the pool. We kept getting told to go check out the pool, so we trotted to the back of the park expecting to see a fairly standard sort of holiday park pool. However at some point we were transported to a resort in Dubai with…

  • Brighton Beachfront Holiday Park (formerly Brighton Caravan Park) has one of the most spectacular beachfront locations of any park we've stayed at in S.A. Located just south of the Seacliff SLSC and literally steps to the beach it's the ideal spot for a family holiday without having to travel too far from home. Swimming, sailing, stand up paddle boarding, fishing, diving, kayaking...... if you love the water, the ocean and the beach you'll LOVE this park. We recently stayed in one of their 2 Bedroom Seabreeze villas which are located in an elevated position at the back of the park with sunset views from your deck and close to all the park amenities including the brand new 9 hole mini golf course, playground, games room, kiosk and activities room where you'll find FREE kids activities during the school holidays. The park also offers other 1 and 2 bedroom cabin options as well as a range of sites for camping and caravanning. It's also pet friendly - so you can take the fur babies too! It's a very popular spot during summer and the school holidays and we loved watching our kids make new friends while cutting laps on the pedal…
