Find it at: Hartley Road Flinders Park

A nice little playground with enough equipment choice to keep the kids busy for a few minutes at least! It could do with a few extra features as it has no fence, no shade (apart from some nearby trees), no water fountains, no seating and no BBQ. The toilet is only at the nearby footy club, so if that is closed then you are out of luck too.

But it does have a cool little wooden boat, a huge nest swing and a heap of regular swings (including one for the toddlers). A good spot for the locals and with the nearby oval, plenty of space for everyone to run around (sadly due to the lack of seating parents will also have to run around as well. Soz.) Hartley Road is fairly busy so keep a watchful eye on the kids at this one.

  • Find it at: Mitchell Street, Millswood Wow what a fabulous toddler playground this spot is. It is fully fenced, with sensational shade from both the shade sails and the beautiful big trees (probably gum trees...all big trees are gum trees right?). With lots of lovely toddler orientated equipment, a little bike/scooter track around the perimeter and lots of seating, I can't remember feeling so relaxed at a playground! It really was such a nice spot. Kids love playing on the climbing walls, and there's plenty of grassed area for them to run around and enjoy themselves. The giant tyre swing is probably the most sought after piece of equipment and the park is shaded, with space for ball games and even a tennis court and basketball ring too! There is a range of equipment for all ages from toddlers to older kids, and good paths nearby for walking and bike-riding.  Not only that, the playground is fully fenced and it has a good sized carpark and toilets close by. If you want to pack a picnic, there are picnic tables and BBQ's as well as grassy areas to sit under the shade of the gum trees.  The park allows dogs on leash and there…
