  • Choosing a bike for your kids can be tough. With so many options and so many price points, plus throw in balance bikes and training wheels and sizing and it can all feel a tad overwhelming. The KiA family have kids of all ages and we were so lucky to try out some of the base bike range, an Adelaide based family business offering a range of bikes catering for bike riders aged 2 to 8 years old. base bikes 16 inch model The 16 inch base bike is primed for kids moving off a balance bike and into their pedal bike era. Our just turned 4 year old had become a bit of a whiz on his balance bike, so we decided to try moving him straight from a balance to a pedal bike with no training wheels. Low to the ground and seemingly longer than the…

  • Find it at: Kenton Valley Rd, Lobethal We love that this beautiful spot in the Adelaide Hills boasts some smaller equipment and sensory play for the little crew, plus of course the huge climbing tower and tube slide for the big kids. We raced down for a visit shortly after it opened in March 2022 and we have to say, it is an incredible facility but there are definitely a few things to look out for. Firstly, lets address the elephant in the room....the huge dam. It isn't fenced at all, is very close to both the little kids play area and the bigger kids spot, and the whole lay of the land just slopes down (quite steeply off the path in parts) down towards it. If you are with your kids constantly it is no drama but it is something to be very watchful over. We took a sprinting 18 month old and although he never looked interested, this isn't a spot you can really sit and play on your phone at while the kids play. In saying that, we had an absolute ball and will be bringing the bigger kids back on the weekend for a proper hit…
