Welcome to Sherebrooke Village Cafe – affectionately known as Grazing in the Valley, tucked away in the suburban streets of the southern Adelaide Hills. Home of South Australia’s Best Babyccino 2025, as voted by our large Kids in Adelaide audience. A title that will hopefully deliver even more business to this deserving suburban snackery in droves over the next year and beyond. Have we been to check out this excellent family friendly spot personally? Sure have, here’s what you’ll find:
Grazing in the Valley is a family friendly café that’s full of heart and flavour. It’s a hit with every one from the littlest locals, to the grandparents who often bring them in. From the doggos to the parent’s after morning school drop off. The tradies who know how to sniff out a good coffee or lunch, and the local community at large. The welcoming space is small but vibrant, relaxed, and also includes outdoor seating. It’s the kind of place you really wish was in your neighbourhood.
The menu is as thoughtful as it is delicious. Think warming soups of the day (perfect for chilly Hills mornings), freshly made baguettes, colourful grab-and-go salad bowls, and a rotating selection of sweet and savoury pastries that cater to both hungry adults and picky kids. Their snack and grazing boxes are ideal for school lunches, road trips, or last-minute entertaining. Now lets talk about the coffee. They serve exceptional Dawn Patrol brews that keep locals coming back for their daily caffeine fix.
Beyond the bites, Grazing in the Valley is a true community hub. Explore cute giftwares from local makers, and check out their seasonal events from fun school holiday workshops for kids to relaxed evening gatherings for adults. It’s a welcoming space run with passion, purpose, and some of the nicest staff you’ll ever meet.
The love for food extends beyond the café too! Grazing in the Valley offers a beautifully curated catering service for parties, corporate events, birthdays and everything in between. Their grazing tables, brunch platters and custom boxes are full of fresh, local produce and styled to impress, just like everything else they do.

Find it at: Wheatsheaf Road, Morphett Vale The amazing $2.2 million nature playspace, located on the corner of Wheatsheaf and States Roads at Morphett Vale, has been designed for people of all ages to get outdoors and engage with nature. Nature themes are featured as a tribute to the site’s importance for Kaurna people, and the site’s history as a working farm from the 1840s to 1960s. Stunning public art by local Ngarrindjeri, Kaurna and Yankunytjatjara artist Allan Sumner is scattered throughout the playspace. There are two main areas, one for toddlers and younger kids and one for older kids, making it a great spot for the whole family. The junior space is fully fenced (YES!) and features a Hills to Beach creative sand and water play area and a play farm area complete with wooden tractor and sheep rockers. This area also has a number of different swings, slides, seesaw and lots of sensory hands on play that we LOVE. Older kids will also love this park with some very decent climbing structures, ropes course, awesome slide tower, wooden forts and a double flying fox. One of the seat is a bucket style for younger kids so siblings can…
Where: Chandlers Hill Road, Happy Valley After 120 odd years of just sitting there doing nothing besides provide us with an unlimited supply of clean drinking water (boring), Happy Valley Reservoir is open for activities! And wow haven't the public taken to it like a toddler to a pack of unattended textas. With almost 20km of trails, perfect for mixed uses including running, mountain biking, hiking (lots of it is pram friendly too!), this is going to be a really exciting community space for the south. We also hear that a Park Run is planned for the area which would be fantastic for the runners and walkers out there. But the real treat here is the Kayaking. With a number of launch points, the facilities here are fantastic, with toilets located along the 2x Chandlers Hill car parks as well as in 2x locations on the Happy Valley Drive side. For the hikers, choose from a range of well signed tracks, from 2km loops all the way up to the 11km Shoreline Loop. Kayakers - You will find your launch points at the 2 Chandlers Hill Road entry points. Fishing is allowed (woo hoo!) but you can't use stand up…
