Two of our favourite things…The stunning Yorke Peninsula and a craft brewery that welcome families. Enter one of the newest venues on the scene, Hedonbar Brewing Company!

Now, we first noticed this talented husband and wife duo brewing up a little storm in 2022, popping up at local events across the Copper Coast. What you might not know is that they have very recently opened a huge new venue for their brewery / taproom and it is conveniently located at the Copper Coast Tourism Centre ‘s ‘Farm Shed’ in Kadina (a nudge over an hour and a half from Adelaide).

Open Friday’s 2pm – 7.30pm and Saturday + Sunday’s 12pm – 6.30pm. Our favourite family pick is Sunday’s for the live music each week. It’s worth noting that hours might vary during peak times or across public holidays, so now is a great time to jump over and follow them on Instagram to keep up to date with special events or altered trading.

The venue is industrial, relaxed and spacious with a choice to sit indoors or park up at an outdoor table in fine weather. Either way there is plenty of room to maneuver a pram, and if the kids have energy to burn, there is a large lawn adjacent the tap room, along with further family activities right next door at the Tourism Centre. mini golf or train ride any one?

You can settle in for a beer paddle with up to ten taps pouring at any one time, offering rotating seasonal ales, lagers and even special limited release beers. We loved the Wheat Middy (great if you are the driver) and the roasty-ness of the Stout, which was absolute perfection for our cool weather visit.

Not a beer drinker but being dragged along by a passionate craft beer enthusiast? Hedonbar Brewing have a small range of South Australian artisan gins, wines from Barossa Valley and of course some non-alcoholic options too.

So, you have quenched your thirst somewhat and now the responsible thing to do would be to put some nosh in your belly right? Honestly, your tastebuds will explode with the quality line up of excellent food vans these guys bring in each weekend. We ate from MFP Fire Foods on our visit and the flavours were unbelievable and such a great match with our beers.
