Opened in 2016 this playground came as a welcome pit stop on our recent Limestone Coast adventure. A modern and spacious playground with stunning views of the Coorong it’s got some great equipment for kids of all ages to run off some energy.
The park has a nautical theme with a real boat to climb in and explore. There’s a huge climbing slide, climbing net, balancing logs, swings and some work out equipment (so you can burn off the donuts you bought from the bakery next door)
With toilets at the playground, seating galore and cafes across the road for coffee and snacks it’s a great spot to stop if you’re staying or travelling through Meningie.
Find it at: 23-27 Hill St, Kapunda What a gem of a regional playground this one is! Fully fenced and spacious, with plenty of natural and artificial shade, plus one of the best trains (full sized we might add) we have seen in quite some time. Leo is an old steam engine from the copper mining days of the town, and your train loving kids will be all over this one. There is also seating and a pergola, which is very popular for parties. There are two playgrounds, one for the little kids, and one for the bigger kids. There is a bathroom with disabled access and baby change room facilities are also in this huge enclosure, which is very well maintained and is obviously a favourite for locals and day trippers alike. If you are travelling North, do your family a favour and stretch your legs here, and we highly recommend Litl Mo's Bakery just around the corner.
Image credit: City of Playford This park is part of a nature reserve, with a small playground that includes a slide, spinner, swings and some cool climbing/balancing equipment Image credit: City of Playford It's a great area for a run around, kick of the ball or somewhere you can sit with the dog (on leash) while the kids have a play Image credit: City of Playford There's not many facilities around though, a bench seat and a rubbish bin is about it. No toilets or shade Thanks to Amy for this playground review 36 Seavington Road, Elizabeth Park[wpgmza id="138" cat="1" marker="559" zoom="16"]
