Fully fenced and covered in shade, this beachside playground is great for all ages and is made all the better by the toilet block right next door!
With plenty of parking and some outdoor fitness equipment next to the play area, don’t forget to pack the balls for a kick and a catch on the large grassed area adjacent.

We recently visited The Exeter Hotel at Semaphore while on a mini break at Discovery Parks - Adelaide Beachfront. Another guest at the park had recommended it to me as a great place to take kids for a meal and they were right, it was! We took advantage of their Kids Eat Free promotion where if you visit between Sunday - Thursday and purchase one adult main meal (lunch or dinner) to receive one kids meal for free and as you can see from the menu below, there's plenty of options to choose from. Miss 4 ordered some grilled fish and chips to which we added some broccoli from the salad bar and she ate the lot! And because we were on "holiday" she even got a banana split treat, which went down VERY well! The adults were happy to with our very reasonably priced and large meals and the staff were really really happy and friendly. The Exeter also has an undercover playground and a games room inside with pinball, pool table and a chocolate machine. Kids will also get an activity sheet, colouring in and some pencils to keep them busy waiting for their meal. This place is…

The awesome Point Malcolm Reserve playground is on Military Road, Semaphore. This one million dollar project was funded by State Government and City of Charles Sturt Council (who are continuing to impress with their amazing open space developments). It's located in one of the most popular destinations of Adelaide - Sensational Semaphore! Perfect for summer, with the beach a stones throw away, it's a double date of fun for the family. Things I loved about this playground Location! Location! Location! Situated walking distance to the beach (100m) - this is sometimes a rarity so double the fun in one play date Easy parking nearby Mix of activities for young and older kids including nature play, basketball courts, advanced climbing equipment and lots of grass areas, BBQ spaces, space for picnics Landscaping was fantastic for all inclusive environment Awesome playground features include Giant Slide Big Musical Instruments Swings Two mini in-ground trampolines Sand pit Great toddler playground Two Flying Foxes (best for 5+ as they have a decent bump on the end of them so little hands need to be able to hang on!) Recreational Facilities - Tennis and Basketball courts, BBQ Great Climbing challenge Adults exercise equipment (which mostly had kids playing…

Find it at: The Esplanade, Semaphore Semaphore Foreshore is set for an incredible redevelopment, which will include a brand new playground (which will replace the existing playground below). The revised Master Plan is open for community consultation until 19 May 2024, but check out some of the concept images below. We are loving the proposed new activity hub (new playground to be built next to this), and water play! To read the Master Plan and provide feedback, click here. Keep reading for info on the existing playground. The existing Semaphore playground is right in the middle of the Semaphore Foreshore Reserve and bordered by The Fort Glanville Train Rides, The Semaphore Carousel, bustling Semaphore Road and of course the beach and jetty. Don't forget the great kiosk which is always open right at the gate, plus the train rides depart all from the one central location. The playground is undercover and fully fenced with lots of climbing equipment, a flying fox, slides and tunnels. It truly is one of the nicest playground locations in Adelaide, right in the heart of the Semaphore entertainment precinct. What we liked about this playground The location which is sensational on a sunny day in summer…
