If you’re searching for a playground that really does have something for everyone, Patritti Reserve in Dover Gardens should be on your list. Upgraded in mid 2026 this spacious community reserve combines an impressive fully fenced playground with sporting facilities, fitness equipment and plenty of open green space, making it an easy choice for families with kids of all ages.
The playground caters from toddlers right through to older kids, with a great mix of climbing, balancing, swinging and interactive play. Whether your little ones are mastering the monkey bars, bouncing on the in-ground trampoline or making music with the playground instruments, there’s plenty here to keep them entertained.
One of our favourite features is the inclusive design. Accessible play elements include an inclusive carousel, along with wide paths and a thoughtfully designed play space that encourages children of all abilities to join in the fun.
Interactive features such as talking tubes, a musical play area, a noughts and crosses panel and a blackboard wall (don’t forget to BYO chalk!) add something a little different to the usual playground experience.
For active kids, there’s a climbing net, monkey bars, balance beams, balancing steps, a multi-play unit with slide, baby and standard swings, plus an in-ground trampoline. The surrounding reserve also offers a huge grassed kick-about area, making it easy to bring a football or soccer ball along.
Beyond the playground, Patritti Reserve is packed with facilities for the whole family. You’ll find a cricket pitch and practice nets, an oval, sprint track, static and dynamic fitness equipment and walking paths throughout the reserve.
Parents will appreciate the practical touches too. The playground is fully fenced, with both shade sails and established trees providing welcome protection from the sun. Picnic tables, sheltered seating, BBQ facilities, drinking fountains and public toilets (including accessible toilets) make it easy to settle in for a longer visit.
With off-street and accessible parking available, Patritti Reserve is a fantastic all-round destination for a family outing, weekend picnic or after-school play.
