Find it at: St Andrew’s Cres, between St Cloud St and Sunningdale Ave, in Novar Gardens.
Nestled in the amongst the streets of Novar Gardens St Andrew’s Reserve was a lovely find. It was a cold and wet day but this did not stop us from exploring this great play space. Separated into two sections the main section features 2 slippery dips. One brightly coloured purple curly slide with a lot of adventure climbing via either ropes, moving planks or elevated stepping stones to reach it. The other bright orange slide can be accessed by steps and is more suitable for toddlers.
Along with a tunnel and a shop for imaginative play, the kids also have access to a few games positioned around the equipment and a sea saw.
St Andrew’s Reserve also features a cube shape structure with a few more challenging aspects including a rope spider web, some balancing and hanging pieces and an area where you can climb up on top of the cube and get across on a rope frame. You could also use this cube for exercise.
Positioned away from the main play equipment in an area of its own, you will find a half basketball court and a separate swing area, including a nest swing and baby swing. The reserve has lots of open grass and trees for the kids to play amongst and there is lots of parking around the reserve. St Andrew’s Reserve does have a sheltered picnic area and bins, however has NO shade, NO toilets and is NOT fenced. Nice stop if you are in the area.
