The 2024 redevelopment replaced the existing playground, located next to the tennis and basketball courts.
The playground includes;
- Large play tower with big slides and climbing
- Inclusive, all ages swing set with basket swing, toddler swing and junior swing;
- Toddler slide with stairs
- Rocker and carousel
There are no toilets, BBQs or shade structures in place here, but for a small suburban playground, this is a really nice one for the locals.

Find it on the corner of Oliver Avenue and Riverway Drive, Fulham Gardens Located along the linear park trail we love this park because it's fully fenced, which not many are along the river near here and also has heaps of natural shade. A great park for toddlers for it's low, easy to use equipment and we love the tandem swing. There's also some fun climbing nature play features, BBQ and picnic tables. No toilets though. You can walk or cycle to George Jones Reserve via the River Torrens Linear Trail stopping in at some of the other playgrounds on the way.

This local playground /park is suitable for a mixture of age groups however the play equipment only caters for toddlers. The equipment features a small swing set including baby swing, 2 small slippery dips , a swinging hammock , climbing area and a couple of small play equipment. Half the area is covered by shade .What is great about this park/reserve is that the play equipment area is fenced off, has a good size grassed area and a half key basketball court. Within this area you also have the use of toilets and BBQ facilities. What I also like about this park is that outside the fenced playground area you also have the use of tennis courts and for the pooch lovers there is a huge dog park /sports field. It even has off street parking. Why not bring the family, put a sausage on the BBQ, have a hit of tennis or try for a slam dunk on the basketball key whilst you also get to keep the pooch happy at the dog park. Find it at: Kenton Avenue, Oaklands Park Another nice little playground for the locals, with a range of equipment outside of the normal combo of tower slide + swing. They do have some swings, which our crew got around, with a normal swing, toddler swing and dount net swing to entertain the troops. The big horizontal climbing net provided a good challenge for the older kids and the sound pipes are always fun! We loved the adjacent bike and scooter trail, which adds a bit of difference to the area but there was no real flat area for any ball sports sorry sports fans. There aren't any toilets here but it is only a small local spot, so not a huge shock there, however we did like the water fountain. Shade wise you are sort of left to enjoy the local trees which cover a part of the playground but a lot is left exposed. Lots of sand too for those parents who love sand play (yet to meet one, but they may exist) and a water play set up will help that easy to brush off dry sand turn into annoying wet sand.
