Hahndorf Flower Farm – PYO Flowers this Spring

Hahndorf Flower Farm is a family-owned and operated farm in the Adelaide Hills. We were lucky enough to visit earlier in the year, and it was totally worth it. It’s such a beautiful, family-friendly experience. Wander colourful flower fields, pick your own blooms, and enjoy a relaxed day out.

New in 2025 – “The Little Flower Hunt” lets kids take a guided wander with the Farm Manager and fill their own mason jar with as many blooms as they like. How cute!

Lavender Bloom Festival – Pick Your Own Lavender

Step into a sea of purple at Hahndorf this summer and enjoy a fragrant, hands-on experience at the Lavender Bloom Festival. Wander the fields, pick your own lavender, and soak up the sights and scents of the season, perfect for families!

Atkins Farm – PYO Sunflowers

Atkins Farm is a family-owned farm in Meadows, 50 minutes from Adelaide, known for its beautiful sunflowers. Each summer, visitors are invited to wander the fields and pick their own blooms, making it a perfect family outing.

The farm will reopen in January 2026 for the next sunflower season, ready for another season of vibrant blooms and family fun.

Charleston Farm

Spring certainly shows off its best colours, and Charleston Farm is the perfect place for families to dive into fields of fresh blooms.

Some of the flowers to expect include Ranunculus, Tulips, Anemones, Peonies, Larkspur, Delphinium, Chincherinchee, Stock, Poppies, Billy Buttons, Scabiosa, Feverfew, and Statice –  a colourful mix that’s perfect for picking and exploring with the whole family.

Mother Nature likes to keep everyone guessing so the PYO season dates aren’t announced too far in advance.

Shimmering Pines Farm – Pizza & PYO Summer Flowers

Make the most of summer at Shimmering Pines Farm at Tarlee with a hands-on flower-picking experience and a delicious Frankie and Son’s Gourmet Pizza!

Kids and adults can enjoy the Summer Blooms (in smaller picking rows) while taking in the beautiful farm views.

Dates: 16/01/26, 30/01/26, 13/02/26

Tickets are $55 and include 12 fresh stems, jars, snip hire, entry, and a tasty 11-inch Frankie and Son’s pizza. Kids under 15 are free when sharing a jar and/or pizza with an adult — perfect for little flower pickers!

Dahlia Hills Farm

Dahlia Hills Farm is a charming, organic, chemical-free farm in the Adelaide Hills, where you can wander through vibrant flower fields and pick your own blooms from January to April (bookings essential).

On weekends, the garden café serves cake and drinks, and the space is also available for hire for intimate events during the flower season.
