The Berri Hotel Bistro is another large attractive venue serving from a significant and contemporary menu. You can’t go too wrong with a pub meal when you’re on holidays and you’ll find plenty of pub favourites at the Berri Hotel, along with some new options. Located on Riverview Drive in the heart of Berri, you’ll never be too far from the Berri Hotel while exploring this popular Riverland destination.
During our visit, the Berri Hotel had that nice “buzz” about it – it was certainly busy, however the staff had everything running well and we didn’t need to wait too long to order or get our food. The menu really is extensive – you’ll find everything from entrees, to salads, pub classics, seasonal mains, pizza, a kid’s menu, lunch specials and a some great dessert options. After much deliberation over the menu, we enjoyed the Crispy Thai Beef and Spicy Wild Prawn salads. Our youngest predictably had the kids schnitzel but our eldest enjoyed a large loaded hot dog. The kids meals are only $10, which is great value!
They are not only open for lunch and dinner – you can have breakfast at the Berri Hotel too, with the menu offering light options such as muesli and cinnamon loaf, through to a big breakfast which really lives up to its name! If you’re looking for accommodation, the Berri Hotel also offers hotel rooms including Family Rooms and Poolside Two Bedroom Villas.
Being in the centre of town and again overlooking the mighty Murray, I’d imagine this place is really starts humming as the sun starts setting on the weekend’s events and sporting triumphs. The big news for business, tourists and tradesmen in the community, is that this place is undergoing an exciting expansion. On top of the numerous pre-existing hotel rooms a further 20 new luxuriously appointed and accessible Riverview Apartments will make your next visit a real pleasure.
Capitalising on the year-round sunshine and in promotion of this exciting holiday lifestyle, a massive and glorious pool is nearing completion. Our family can’t wait to get back out to the Berri Hotel and fully embrace this opportunity to unwind and soak up some well needed vitamin D!
In the meantime, pop in for a meal and enjoy the true country hospitality on offer at the Berri Hotel!

River Jacks Café holds pride of place on the riverbank, beside the beautiful lawns, right at the start of Berri’s main street. If you are new to town, find the Information Centre & you'll find River Jacks Cafe right next door - perfect for filling your bellies before you decide where you will adventure next! We took up position outside on the authentically rustic, spacious patio and set about basking in the glorious morning sunlight. With orders in we got chatting to our friendly neighbours- this welcoming environment seemed to encourage it. They were a group of almost a dozen, relishing in their retirement and touring the Riverland together by bicycle. Talk about living the dream! Our boys chose polar opposites when it came to the breakfast menu! One chose the Yoghurt and Fruit Salad Bowl and complemented that with the bright and refreshing Fruity Tootie Pink Smoothie. The eldest went with a crowd favourite, Waffles and Ice Cream and doubled down on his calorie intake with a yummy Chocolate Thickshake. Both were extremely happy with their choices & in fact eyed off each others meal a fair bit too! We adults stuck with our favourites - Smashed Avo &…
