Tucked away in the back streets of Clovelly Park, this 2024 upgraded playground is a fabulous hidden gem down south.
Featuring;
Play structure with slides and climbing elements
Nature play
Spinner
Basket swing
Shelter with picnic setting
No fencing or toilets for this one but throw in some grassed area and shade from the established gum trees, and we have a great little suburban playground on our hands.
Thanks to Surface Contractors Australia for the images (and the great work on the playground surface!)
Smaller budget community skate park, some interesting features enjoyed by my younger boys on BMX and scooter but the transitions on the northern wallride feature weren’t great. Roll in, quarter pipe, little button mushroom and raised box were interesting. Situated around a well manicured football oval. Playground adjacent with climbing equipment, a small flying fox, swings, picnic table & clean toilets. Fairly quiet. Find it at 38 Bagster Rd, Salisbury North [wpgmza id="138" cat="1" marker="875" zoom="16"]
Image credit: City of Playford This park is part of a nature reserve, with a small playground that includes a slide, spinner, swings and some cool climbing/balancing equipment Image credit: City of Playford It's a great area for a run around, kick of the ball or somewhere you can sit with the dog (on leash) while the kids have a play Image credit: City of Playford There's not many facilities around though, a bench seat and a rubbish bin is about it. No toilets or shade Thanks to Amy for this playground review 36 Seavington Road, Elizabeth Park[wpgmza id="138" cat="1" marker="559" zoom="16"]
The next stage in the fabulous St Clair Recreation Precinct has opened and wow it is very impressive. As part of the Stage 2 works (more info at the council site here) at the Recreation Precinct facility, the new skate park is MASSIVE! Our kids loved the skate park but the little ones may get a little overawed by the size (and it was packed when we went) with some of the older skate boarders flying around, it had a bit of an adult vibe when we went. The skate park features a mini Bondi bowl, flat bars, hips and ledges and fly out rails amongst other exciting additions for skateboards, bikes and scooters. The all ages area also has a basketball half court, a table tennis table, shelter and lighting.They have done an incredible job here so try it out and see what you think! The entire St Clair Recreation Precinct is massive and now with the Skate Park finished, it will have something for all ages and interests.
