Featuring multiple waterslides, tipping bucket, plenty of fountains and splash areas the brand new resort style waterpark is sure to be a big winner with the kids.

Stop the press! We have the perfect place for your next family getaway. Discovery Parks Goolwa has had a BIG upgrade & is looking the goods for your next Fleurieu camping, caravan or cabin holiday. We visited recently & were seriously impressed with their new facilities including their brand new DELUXE CABINS and RESORT STYLE WATERPARK!

We are usually tent people so our kids were super excited to be staying in a cabin – let me tell you, they certainly live up to their name, because every part of these new additions are deluxe. They comfortably sleep 6 people, split between two rooms (a queen bed in one room & 2 sets of bunks in the other room). Both rooms have built in robes so we didn’t have to trip over our bags on the floor. The rest of the cabin layout is super spacious, with a separate toilet & bathroom (including a shower bigger than the one we have at home!), lounge, dining area & kitchen. Plenty of room for us all to spread out! Oh & did I mention the huge deck? Perfect for enjoying a meal, snacks or glass of wine or playing family board games in the evening.

There were a few special features that we were seriously impressed with however. The main bedroom includes a TV, which was perfect after a long day of exploring to chill out once the kids were in bed. In the kitchen is a DISHWASHER which meant that we didn’t have to handwash or dry one single load of dishes during our stay – now that’s what holidays are all about! All the powerpoints include USB plugs – a must in 2022 for all the devices that inevitably come on holiday with us. However, the best part of all was how soundproof the cabins are. The Deluxe Cabins are located around the pool, playground & jumping pillow area which can get pretty noisy. Once our cabin door was shut, all the noise instantly disappeared, meaning we could send the kids off to bed at a reasonable time & not have them asking why they could still hear all the other kids in the pool! It also means that if your kids are early risers (like our youngest – hello 5:30am) & are making noise early in the morning, you don’t need to worry about them disturbing the people in the cabin next door!

As I mentioned the Park has had some big upgrades. As well as the epic new waterpark there’s also a pool which includes a shallow toddler end, as well as the deep end for bigger & more competent swimmers. The area also includes a jumping pillow & a brand new playground which has been made in a nature play style. It includes a flying fox, slide, log tepee & several boats for the kids to play in. A permanent movie screen is also setup on the nearby grass area so we anticipate holidays & long weekends with lots of movie nights!

At the front of the Park is still the old (but equally as fun) pool & jumping pillow, right next to the massive Camp Kitchen. When your kids get sick of one pool or jumping pillow, just send them to the other one! The other playground remains also, with plenty of climbing equipment, slides, a cubby & netball/basketball court next door.

Discovery Parks Goolwa also has pedal cart & bike hire – yet another way to keep the kids entertained! You could honestly stay here for several days & not need to leave the park grounds, however if you do we recommend a trip to Bristow Smith Reserve Nature Playground on the Goolwa Foreshore. It is evident how much time & planning have been put into the new upgrades at the Park, including lots of new trees, plants & shrubs that have been planted. They might be small now, but in time, the Park will be looking lush!
