There’s a BIG oval with cricket pitch which is great for a run around, kick of the ball or a full size game of cricket or footy.

If you like your parks with wide open spaces, shady trees and a shaded playground this is a great option in the Northern suburbs.

The shaded playground is great for little ones with a nice little selection of equipment including climbing frame, walls and nets, monkey bars, slides, rockers and a nest swing.

There are toilets on site, BBQ and a picnic bench so you can plan to spend a few hours here. Plenty of parking too!

  • Blamey Reserve Playground, Kidman Park

    Find it at: Kooralla Grove, Kidman Park What a great little park this one is. With a fantastic range of play equipment, including some reasonably challenging climbing equipment to a playground with an enclosed twirly slide, this has something for most ages. It even has a heap of outdoor gym equipment but lets be honest, apart from sitting on the ski swingy one, nobody has ever used any of it....or is that just us? No toilets is the only let down here, but it has a BBQ, seating, a mix of toddler and traditional swings, several slides and is a really beautiful spot. There is no fencing but the river is about 100m away and it is in a nice quiet back street so you shouldn't have many issues.

  • Knightsbridge Reserve Playground Leabrook

    Find it at: Phillip Avenue, Leabrook This quaint little neighbourhood playground is nestled in the quiet suburb of Leabrook and the was upgraded in 2024. Fully fenced and whilst there is no shade provided, the playground is situated under some beautiful big old gum trees that do provide some protection from the sun. There are also a few smaller trees around the edge off the grassed area that provide small amounts of shade for those wanting a small picnic space . This park is more suitable for toddlers. Unfortunately no toilets or BBQ facilities are located in this park. Thanks for City of Burnside of the images.  

  • Dampier Reserve Playground, Findon

    Find it at: Dampier Avenue, Findon Dampier Reserve at Findon is great a central neighbourhood playground and reserve for the kids to discover (don't forget to bring the racquets!).  You'll find the following facilities: Nature play Sheltered picnic tables Two tennis courts Play equipment  Basketball ring Public toilets Not a bad little back street playground which if you are a local, is a great little spot to tire the kids out or have a hit of tennis!
