This playground is an absolute gem! At the centre of it all is a massive rope climbing structure, perfect for little dare-devils. The two proper flying foxes are a hit (race anyone?), along with swings, a slide, and wobble boards that keep the kids entertained for hours.
Set within a beautiful natural play space, the playground is surrounded by bushland, creating a peaceful and scenic spot to unwind. There are also two shelters, one with a BBQ, and toilets are conveniently located nearby, along with an oval for extra space to stretch out.
Located in the heart of the Clare Valley wine district, between the Riesling Trail and the township of Sevenhill, this playground makes the perfect pit stop for families. It’s just a short hop from the delicious Little Red Grape Bakery, so grab a pie, a coffee, or a cheeky cake, and take a break before continuing your ride or walk along the trail.
Whether you’re in the Clare Valley or just passing through, this playground is well worth a stop to let the kids burn off some energy while you enjoy a well-earned rest.

Keeping in touch with the environment isupgraded local playground at Sheidow Park. A small quaint upgraded play space area has been added to the existing reserve and allows the local kids a place to play on the equipment or amongst the existing trees and open grass area. The play ground features a mound slippery dip nestled amongst rocks and shrubs where the kids can choose to climb up on the stairs or the rocks depending on skill levels. The nest swing is always a favourite and the kids will also find a rope climbing cone shaped piece of equipment along with a sea saw made from a log keeping with its back to nature theme . For the little ones you will find a timber bouncy piece of equipment . Positioned around the play space are logs for the kids to climb and walk along . A concrete path surrounds the play area ready for bikes , scooters or skateboards. This play ground has NO shade , NO toilets , NO BBQ facilities or NO fence so a nice upgraded spot for a play if you live locally. We love the back to nature theme. Suitable for toddlers and younger…
Image credit: City of Playford This park is part of a nature reserve, with a small playground that includes a slide, spinner, swings and some cool climbing/balancing equipment Image credit: City of Playford It's a great area for a run around, kick of the ball or somewhere you can sit with the dog (on leash) while the kids have a play Image credit: City of Playford There's not many facilities around though, a bench seat and a rubbish bin is about it. No toilets or shade Thanks to Amy for this playground review 36 Seavington Road, Elizabeth Park[wpgmza id="138" cat="1" marker="559" zoom="16"]
Find it at: Dean Drive, Barmera It's a huge space with plenty of adult seating and a couple of bbq's. The equipment caters to a range of age groups and even has a little mini bike track so bring along a bike or scooter. There's heaps of parking and a toilet block across the road. It's not fenced and Lake Bonney is across the road so you will need to know where the children are at all times to keep them safe. We particularly loved the five way swing (and there are a whole bunch of other swings too) and the suspension bridge, plus the cubby houses with underground 'speaker phones'. Info about bike track and space, and footy goal posts etc
I'm a Mum of 2 girls and also one 4 legged ratbag of a dog called Rudy. I work from home and family balance out the work/school hours with lots of beach time, walks, bike rides skates, scooters and surfs. We like being outside. Our favourite places in Adelaide are the Adelaide Hills and Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park
