When you’re looking for activities to do with your tweens and teens, you probably want to make sure they tick three key boxes:

  • They aren’t too expensive (so they can bring a friend perhaps)
  • Keep them mentally or physically active (so you can avoid the dreaded, “I’m bored. This sucks.”
  • Something that is supervised, but where you could still allow them their “independence” while keeping an eye on them!

So here are ten of the best for your teens and tweens to enjoy in Adelaide…

Bounce

Bounce is always going to be a favourite for your tweens and teens. You’ll probably enjoy having a jump too (provided your pelvic floor is up to it that is!). They now have two fantastic locations at Marleston & Greenacres.

Head to an Adelaide 36ers Home Game

If you haven’t been to an Adelaide 36ers Home Game lately, make sure you take your teen soon. The atmosphere is absolutely electric with HEAPS to keep the crowd entertained both before and during the game. Hang out under the dome before the game trying your hand at some shots or join in as the crowd yells ‘HUNGRY JACKS’ as the players take their free shots. It’s heaps of fun and you could even walk away a winner with all of the competitions they run throughout the game.

Check out the fixture at the Adelaide 36ers website.

  • X golf needs to be seen and experienced to truly grasp how much fun it is. Words don’t do it justice. It isn’t just a “golf simulator”, it is a golf experience. Now with the partnership with Hey Caddy, one of the coolest mini-golf venues around, it truly is a one of a kind indoor entertainment venue that families will love! Adelaide’s first X-Golf venue, this amazing facility caters for up to 100 guests at any time providing visitors with advanced golf simulator technology and plenty of other entertainment options including the Hey Caddy 12-hole mini golf course that will take you on a trip around the world! The realism is unbelievable, with the technology able to replicate exactly just how bad I am at golf. You will even be frustrated and angry, just like a real round of golf! But with almost 100 international courses to choose from, you can live out your golfing dream playing your fave course. The venue is outstanding. Plenty of room and heaps of TVs with as much sport as you can handle. My tip is bring your own clubs. They have plenty if you don’t have your own, but for any avid golfer…

  • Toddlers are busy, toddlers are fun, when they throw a tantrum you’ll just want to run! Toddlers can be hard work, but can also be SO MUCH fun. Give them the right space and it’s so entertaining (and also very important) to just let them free and watch them learn, experience, climb, run, fall, work out and try again. Finding that safe space can be tricky though and a fully fenced playground, shallow spot for a splash on a hot day, a cafe with a great play corner or a venue that caters for toddler needs is like finding gold in them thar hills.
