  • A personal favourite, Tusmore Wading Pool is well known as a perfect spot for a warm summer's day with young kids. However, after 50 years the wading pool has reached the end of its life and the City of Burnside has unveiled plans to redevelop the pool. At the start of 2020 community consultation occurred to see what the community might like in the wading pools place, and from this four designs were drafted which were put to the public at the end of 2020. Out of this consultation, design 2 was the preferred design which includes a full wading pool with an additional creek like section. The design was endorsed by the Council in January 2021 where the project then progressed to a detailed design stage. It is expected this will be finalised in mid 2021. The new design will feature: Fully fenced shaded wading pool A section of lawn to the East and the NorthA new creek style sectionTiered seatingWater play equipment Subject to development approval being granted, construction is anticipated to occur in 2021/2022... and we can't wait to see this awesome new space!
