Murray Bridge Swimming Centre is an awesome summer destination for families looking for water fun and kid-friendly facilities.
The Water Play Park has five waterslides, including a giant 48 metre SupaSlide for big kids and adults, as well as smaller slides and splash features perfect for younger children.
There’s a shaded toddler pool and a medium learner’s pool that make it easy for little ones to have fun at their own pace. The centre also offers a heated Olympic-size pool with accessible entry, great for more confident swimmers.
On top of all the pools and slides, you’ll find plenty of grass and shaded areas for picnics, free gas barbeques, seating and a kiosk serving refreshments and snacks. Change rooms, showers and toilet facilities are available onsite and there’s easy parking for families.
Whether you’re sliding down with the kids, swimming laps or enjoying a relaxed day by the water, it’s a great place to cool off this summer.

You may have lived down south your whole life and driven past this place a thousand times, without even realising it was a mere metres away on your daily commute! Located just to the west of the South Road mega freeway junction at Darlington and accessible from Sturt Road near the Police Station, this hidden gem is an absolute must. For the Kaurna people of the Adelaide plains, this site is a traditional ceremonial meeting place still used today. The Living Kaurna Cultural Centre offers Aboriginal and environmental education programs, events and performances. The venue is also available to hire for meetings, training days, events and workshops. We went a few years ago for a primary school excursion and it was a first class experience. The guides were fantastic and extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area, taking the time to explain the incredible history of the Kaurna people in the area. With modern facilities making it a truly wonderful experience, we can't recommend this enough. Tours are not quite yet back as they slowly open up, but that will no doubt change quickly over the coming weeks. For more information click here or visit their facebook page!
