If you are chasing one of the best family-friendly cafes in Brighton, The Seller Door is hands down our number one pick. This beachside eatery nails the balance between elevated cafe dining and relaxed family vibes, with amazing quality breakfast, brunch and lunch options alongside an extensive drinks menu and specialty coffees and drinks that feel a little bit fancy without ever being pretentious.
One of the things we love most is the choice of spaces to settle in. Grab a table out the front and soak up the bustle of Jetty Road Brighton, stay cosy indoors or head out the back to the adorable umbrella-filled courtyard that feels like a hidden little oasis. It is the perfect spot to linger over coffee while the kids snack on babyccinos, milkshakes and pancakes just for them!
Families are genuinely well catered for here, with a cute kids menu, colouring, friendly staff and a proper decent-sized babyccino that always wins points with little customers. For younger kids, it gets even better the fantastic playground at Bindarra Reserve is just a short stroll away on the Esplanade, making this an easy choice for a full morning or lunch outing by the beach.
Whether you are meeting friends for brunch, stopping in after a beach walk or planning a relaxed family lunch, The Seller Door absolutely lands. Gorgeous food, warm service, coastal vibes and one of the best family-friendly cafe setups in Brighton. It’s shot to the top of our list for a reason!
Find it at: Esplanade, Brighton The Holdfast Bay Council has really spoilt the Adelaide community with some great upgrades to the local parks and here is another one we just love. Bindarra Reserve was already a great playground and is always busy and with a fabulous new upgrade will now be even busier. With a lovely seaside theme this new play space has come at a perfect time with summer school holidays as it directly opposite Brighton Beach. The playground now features a few different areas. The main equipment play space has been thought out really well and caters for a few different ages. It features lots of rope climbing obstacles , balancing rope stairs, swinging monkey bars and a slippery dip. Set amongst this area is lots of games for the kids to use including hand eye coordination activities that are great for the little ones. Also allows for imaginative play. Love how all the pieces work together and keeps the kids close regardless of what activity they are doing. Whether they are being active or just standing playing with a game. Just to the side of the main play equipment is a group of swings including a baby…
Brighton Beachfront Holiday Park (formerly Brighton Caravan Park) has one of the most spectacular beachfront locations of any park we've stayed at in S.A. Located just south of the Seacliff SLSC and literally steps to the beach it's the ideal spot for a family holiday without having to travel too far from home. Swimming, sailing, stand up paddle boarding, fishing, diving, kayaking...... if you love the water, the ocean and the beach you'll LOVE this park. We recently stayed in one of their 2 Bedroom Seabreeze villas which are located in an elevated position at the back of the park with sunset views from your deck and close to all the park amenities including the brand new 9 hole mini golf course, playground, games room, kiosk and activities room where you'll find FREE kids activities during the school holidays. The park also offers other 1 and 2 bedroom cabin options as well as a range of sites for camping and caravanning. It's also pet friendly - so you can take the fur babies too! It's a very popular spot during summer and the school holidays and we loved watching our kids make new friends while cutting laps on the pedal…
This brand new Adelaide café, situated smack bang on the beachfront where Kingston Park meets Seacliff Beach, is going to be the most unreal place to hang out with family and friends this spring and summer. Nest Kiosk is the perfect spot for a bite to eat with kids or for that long overdue coffee, sweet treat, breakfast or lunch catch up - with a million dollar view. Meet you for a beach walk or swim? The outlook at Nest Kiosk is stunning all year around. Bonus if it is a beautiful sunny day, however during winter you can sit snuggly indoors and watch the clouds roll in over the ocean (this any one else's love language?) There are ample seating options with tables indoors, outside under cover and even little benches and tables directly opposite the shoreline, offering uninterrupted water views. Outdoors is also perfect if your little one doesn't like to sit for too long, as they can run about on the beachfront path, or older kids could even play down on the sand where you can still keep an eye on them while waiting for your order. Now, it's a little bit hidden, but we love that,…
