As you might have read in My Baby Essentials post, a really great pram was high up on my list of things to make sure I found before baby #2 arrived in July this year.

After lots of asking around and pram stalking at the shops I finally decided on the Baby Jogger City Mini GT with the City Go Capsule and have not looked back. I asked the KiA community on Facebook for some advice on which pram to choose and by far the most popular reply was Baby Jogger, so I owe you all a thank you for the tip!

If you’ve ever had half an interest in prams, you’ll already know about Baby Jogger. They are EVERYWHERE! And there is a good reason for that. The prams are GOOD……they’re really, really GOOD!

Without boring you with the details, I just want to get straight to the point and tell you why.

Nothing steers quite like a Baby Jogger pram – You can honestly push and steer with one finger it’s that smooth. My City Mini GT has all terrain, foam filled (no punctures) wheels so it’s great for walking over bumpy paths, grass, gravel and dirt paths. This plus the front wheel suspension makes it a great pram for those long, bumpy sleep evoking walks.

Can walk dog AND walk baby. One hand each!

Nothing packs up quite like a Baby Jogger pram – one pull of the strap with ONE HAND and your pram is auto locked and loaded ready for the back of the car or to store. You don’t have to fiddle around with clips, buttons or locks. And to unfold you just pull the handle to unlock and flick it out. From personal experience this is VERY HANDY when it’s raining and you’re doing the mad dash for the car! If I had to pick ONE thing I love about this pram, it’s this.

It’s also really easy to detach the wheels if you need to make the pram smaller for traveling or for storage, but I don’t think there are many cars out there that wouldn’t fit this in the boot.

Nothing goes from car to pram to shops to home to back in the car quite like a Baby Jogger pram – The City Go Capsule is perfectly compatible and makes traveling with newborn so much easier. No more waking up baby to get them in and out of the car. You just release the capsule from the car base, pop it in the pram or carry it inside.

The capsule is really soft and cosy and I love the extra removable newborn insert (seen below) to make it extra cushioned for those little heads. The capsule also allows you to turn your City Mini GT pram rear facing which is really great for newborns so you can walk and keep eye contact the whole time.

The straps are easily adjustable you just slide them up and down at the back instead of having to re-thread the straps like some capsules. The City Go Capsule is so handy! It’s easy to install and most importantly it’s safe.

Note: The pram is also compatible with other popular capsule brands using car seat adaptors that can be bought separately.

It’s light. Under 10kgs once again makes it easy to manoever and easy to manage.

It’s adjustable. The handle bar can move up and down. Perfect when you’re 165cms and your husband is 185!

The Canopy pulls RIGHT down on both the pram and the City Go Capsule. No matter where the sun is you can shield that little face without having to strategically position your head or clip on/tie down a muslin wrap (we’ve all done that right!) It’s SPF 50+  and has two peek-a-boo windows so you can peek in without pulling back the hood.

The brake is easy to use. Forget foot brakes. There is one easy to find and use hand brake. How annoying are foot brakes when you’re wearing thongs in summer!?!

The harness is easy to use. It might just be me but man some of those baby harnesses are a TRAP to work out. I managed to work this one out without having to refer to the manual or youtube the instructions.

There’s lots of accessories….so you can pimp your ride! Trays, waterproof covers, travel bags….even a cooler bag! Check them out here

It looks great! OK this isn’t as important as the others BUT my 10th Anniversary Edition City Mini GT really does look great. They’ve updated the fabric and added some nice leatherette accents.

If you’re looking for a pram that is light, compact, comfortable, great quality, will last from newborn to toddler (and more), looks good and is EASY TO USE this is the one for you. And you don’t have to take my word for it, just check out some of the reviews.

The City Mini GT is just one of the range of Baby Jogger prams available. There is one to suit all families. To check out the full range, read more about the features and specs and to find your closest retailer visit www.babyjoggerstrollers.com.au

I received my Baby Jogger free of charge for the purposes of this review however as for all reviews from Kids in Adelaide the above is honest and in my own words

  • Baby carriers, if you grab the right one, are amazing. No need to lug around some clunky enormous pram that takes up the entire boot, your hands are free to walk the dog or drink a coffee (which will be needed. Several times a day) and it is waaaay easier to move around the place...especially in crowds. But...the big but. A lot of baby carriers can be harder to configure and put together than an Ikea wardrobe. With loops and straps seemingly designed for an 8 armed human, honestly for me they just get a little too hard and don't get used. Don't worry Baby Bjorn has your back (and your front...because it is a baby carrier that goes on your front too..... I will show myself out), with the Baby Carrier One. I was lucky enough to get one of these bad boys to take for a spin and I have to say I was really impressed. I took this marvellous piece of baby design and engineering straight out of the box (didn't even need the pesky instructions) and whacked it straight on and off I went for a walk with my tiny model assistant. From box to walking…
