Celebrate Christmas is the city this year with season highlights from the City of Adelaide

Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga Christmas Tree

The much loved Christmas tree in Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga will be lit up from November 14th. The tree will be accompanied by a program of pre-recorded Christmas music, recorded in Adelaide as part of Voices of Christmas, which will air Sunday through Thursday nights when the tree is lit up.

There will also be live music at the Christmas tree in the seven weeks leading up to Christmas between 7.30 and 9 pm on select Friday and Saturday nights and on Christmas Eve, and the nativity scene will return under the tree. The Square will feature free community events, family entertainment, and maker’s markets throughout the Christmas Festival.

This year there will be no public Christmas tree lighting event due to COVID safety requirements.

Window Wonderland in Rundle Mall

Rundle Mall will be adorned with stunning Christmas decorations including 10 individually themed window displays that bring the magic of Christmas to life. The windows are complemented by twinkling lights in the trees, shop windows, and a magical forest of over 100 Christmas trees. There will also be live music performances and other emerging entertainment.
