Henley Breeze Cafe

Beach Eats, Family Friendly Eats

If you’re looking for a family-friendly beachside spot to enjoy a meal in Adelaide’s west, Henley Breeze Café at Henley Beach is an absolute gem! Think coffee, breakfast, brunch and lunch just a stone’s throw from the sandy shores, and an easy stroll to vibrant Henley Square. This is the perfect place to fuel up before or during a beach day or to unwind after a day of salty fun.

With the warm weather of spring and summer approaching, their new kids’ menu is a tasty addition that’s sure to please all. Think delicious options that are both nutritious and fun, making it easy for parents to relax while their little ones indulge in a meal made just for them. Our top three picks were the kids omelette, ricotta pancakes and dinosaur nuggets! Honestly, I think you can pick the cafe’s who have kids them selves right? This is a beautifully run family business.

What makes Henley Breeze Café even more appealing is its laid-back atmosphere, which is perfect for families. With plenty of seating inside and outside, you can soak up the sun while keeping an eye on the kids (or the dog) as they enjoy their meals. Plus, the café is conveniently located just meters from the beach and just a short stroll to all of the action at Henley Square.

Let’s not forget about the coffee and juices! For parents on the go, Henley Breeze Café is the ideal stop for a takeaway coffee before or after that brisk beach walk or pram walk and catch up. You can even grab a refreshing acai bowl.

So whether you’re kicking off your beach day or just need a little pick-me-up after a morning of family activities, their quality brews healthy treats and hearty meals will leave you energized and ready for whatever the day brings.

Next time you’re planning a beachside adventure with the kids, make sure to check out Henley Breeze Café. There’s ample nearby street parking and it really is so evident that a lot of pride and passion is invested into this family run business, offering the perfect spot where delicious food and family fun are served up by the loveliest team.

  • If an exceptional quality, family-friendly brunch is your thing, everyone in your clan will love the Kitchen Farm Pantry in Newenham Estate, Mt Barker. Here you will find hectares of underutilized Adelaide Hills land being transformed into a sustainable, productive farm that supplies produce to the Pantry and Nursery Store, setting an example for combining food production with community care. The goal is to create a model for how sustainable farming can work within a residential area, and we love that. The kids' menu is notably cute, making it clear that children are very much welcome. The café embraces a paddock-to-plate philosophy and features an adjoining humble nursery with a range of plants that can be sold to the community. We loved the cosy fire for winter, plus there's also a huge barn and kids play corner to explore and plenty of space to run around. In summer, think of a cool hills breeze under umbrellas and shady trees. After you eat, check out the street style library box behind the main building for a very unexpected surprise! Kitchen Farm Pantry in The Adelaide Hills is all about celebrating local produce and supporting the community. It has a beautiful focus…

  • This playground has been recently upgraded and includes some great new features! Flying fox (ideal for 3+, it has a bit of a jolt at the end, so make sure little hands can hold on) Baby and toddler swings, plus "big kids" swing and swinging basket 2 playground structures, one aimed more at 1-3 year olds and one for 3+ A 'spinning wheel' with 3 grip bars that the kids spent AGES on. A big hit! Key features we also liked were... Bike path running from Glenelg (or further south if you're keen!) to Henley (or further north if you're very fit!) Lots of space to park Plenty of grass to enjoy a picnic upon and some benches to rest, breast feed etc. Easy access directly to beautiful West beach Things to note: The toilets are located a short walk from the playground, which is something to think about if you have multiple children or a toilet training toddler who needs to go "NOW!" Make sure you pack hats as there's minimal shade over the flying fox, swings and grassy area

  • Is there anything better than an ice cream on a hot Adelaide day? (Or any day really?!) We have collated the best spots in Adelaide & beyond to enjoy a delicious ice cream, gelati, gelato, frozen yoghurt or even acai treat with the kids! Whether you're into classic scoops and flavours like vanilla, chocolate or mint chocolate chip, or like something a bit fancy like peach and white chocolate (yes we recently found that) we've done the hard work for you and found the best spots to visit. Plus, does anything make your kids behave better than the promise of an ice cream at the end of the day? We didn't think so. Now for the big question Adelaide ice cream fans: cup or cone?
