  • A South Australian icon for more than 55 years, the Pancake Kitchen always makes me nostalgic for my childhood. It was so exciting to head to that nook of Gilbert St & be allowed to eat pancakes for dinner! I can still smell the maple syrup & remember looking at the menu wondering who on earth would eat bacon on pancakes (adult me, that's who). Does anyone else remember the jukebox out in the back room? The original Spotify! It may have changed a bit since then, but The Original Pancake Kitchen is still a hit with kids & makes the perfect family dining spot. It is also now in THREE different locations across Adelaide. The original Gilbert St restaurant has had little pancake babies (pikelets?) & is now also found in Modbury & now inside the Marion Cultural Centre. Of course, it goes without saying that the pancakes are amazing. There are so many different options to choose from including sweet & savory options in small, regular or tall stacks. If pancakes aren't your thing, you can grab something from the all-day breakfast menu or is you need some meat on your plate, Pancake Kitchens also double as a…

  • Creating Fun. Inspiring Creativity. Three Daisies is a place to find the perfect party favours! Three Daisies was created by Adelaide Mum, Sarah, as part of a quest to find a better way to create party bags for her children’s birthday celebrations. Sarah wishes she could claim to be that super organised mum, but in reality spends most of the time flying by the seat of her pants, trying not to forget anything too important, ensure the kids are clean and fed, and remember to pack those drink bottles and hats (while never remembering to pack her own!).  This is sounding very familiar to us! Special events are met with a similar style of (dis)organisation. A birthday party will be a few days off and the party bag is where she wanted to add that something extra special. It can be tough when there needs to be 20 party bags for the party, add in her last minute shopping style and all too often Sarah found herself staring at bags of plastic in department stores, thinking - lucky if those make it home after the party and not straight to the bin. She knew there had to be another way.  Three…

  • As of about five seconds ago, when I was chatting to my friend Lisa from @feeding_elli 'Pancake Boards' are my new favourite thing in the entire universe. When I fall for something (food mostly) I fall HARD. This little beauty is completely Gluten Free, but you know - do what ever. I never know what snack to make when the kids have GF friends over. Lisa has nailed it. Check out her little local page some time, dedicated to feeding a coeliac child. Whats on the board: YES it is all gluten free! You can switch it up if you don't have that need - but we think this looks pretty awesome regardless.
