When is the March Long Weekend in Adelaide?

Adelaide Cup Day long weekend happens every March. In 2026 it falls on Monday March 9 giving us a long weekend!

It’s not called “Mad March” in Adelaide for nothing! There are PLENTY of family friendly events happening across the state at this time of the year, including of course the Adelaide Fringe. If the weather is still warm (likely!) maybe check out one of our favourite beaches or secret swimming spots (but shhh!). It’s also a great time for strawberry picking, heading on a bit of a road trip to do some camping or even just have a day trip with the family. A long weekend is also a great time to take the kids to one of those places you have been promising you’ll go to for forever – TreeClimb, The Farm Barn or perhaps a round of putt putt? It’s also a great time to tick some spots and activities off of our Familiy Bucket List
