Do your kids love the jumps, bumps and turns of a BMX track? Adelaide has some great tracks all over the city. Some are attached to BMX clubs you can join and compete with and others are public parks in big open spaces. Very easy to spend a few hours at any of these and a great way to burn off some energy.

Brighton Pump Track

This seriously cool clay Pump Track is a series of small dirt mounds and banked turns over a 1350sq m site, located right near the Brighton Train Station. Cyclists travel around the track using their own momentum rather than pedalling – so the kids will love it even more than usual!
The track closes periodically after severe weather to preserve the surface.

Bower Road Bike Park

We found it particularly good for advanced riders as we haven’t seen many other bike parks of this level in SA. If you want something to compare it against and you’re familiar with the track off Greenhill/Unley roads in the CBD then this Bower Road Bike Park is more suited to riders of the CBD’s intermediate and (often closed) advanced tracks.
