It’s not often my family can go out for dinner and truly not able to finish another bite, but that is exactly what happened at The Bavarian TTP.
We popped in to try out their new $49 Feed the Family Deal (available daily before 6pm) and it was sensational! This wasn’t a bucket of nuggets trash meal either, this was high quality German-inspired fare with a great variety to satisfy even the fussiest of eaters. (great beers too just quietly with the steins on point!)
This share-style deal is designed for two adults and two children under 12 and begins with a plate of huge salted pretzels that were well received by my fussy clan. The main course of what seemed like an unlimited amount of chicken schnitzels with mushroom sauce (we couldn’t eat them all and we have a family of 5!), fantastic salad (again it felt like it was served in a cauldron….so much food!) and a big bowl of chips to finish off the meal. Oh and don’t forget dessert! Save some room for a great little apple strudel for the adults and ice cream for the kids.
The regular menu has lots of options including burgers, wings, salads, signature dishes including pork belly and German sausages and of course schnitzels. The kids menu options are $12 with options including burgers, chicken bites, cauliflower bites, a kids grazing plate and of course SCHNITZELS!
The COVID-safe venue has loads of space, great for prams and high chairs, is full of great lighting and decor, friendly staff, kids activities, sport on the TV for those sport minded folk (me. I am referring to me) and a ripper of a covered playground about 10 metres away in the food court area.
All in all, this was an outstanding visit for us and we just can’t wait to go back. Great for all ages and a great family friendly place to eat.
Oh and don’t forget to work off the huge feed right across the road at Modbury Civic Park Playground. One of the best playgrounds in the area!

Cafe Bonython at the Bonython Park Playground is definitely a Kids In Adelaide favourite! You could literally spend a day here! Offering shelter and a range of seating within eyeball distance of the playground, there's so much happening at this delightful little space. Better still, it's GOOD. Good food, good coffee and a heap of good initiatives for kids, birthdays, high teas, events, all of it. They have really thought of every thing - it's part café, part party venue, part lolly shop!
