The Adelaide Hills Sculpture Trail features 26 contemporary sculptures crafted by master sculptors from all corners of the world during the Adelaide Hills International Sculpture Symposiums in 2012, 2014 and 2016
Most of the sculptures are dotted around the beautiful landscape of the Adelaide Hills, with some in the neighbouring region of the Fleurieu Peninsula.
Why not put all 26 stops on your weekend or school holiday bucket list and tick them all off! You’ll visit some great Adelaide Hills towns and we’ve linked a few side trips you can add to your itinerary while you’re up that way.
- Mt Barker and stop in at the Laratinga Wetlands
- Macclesfield (plus a good pub, you’re welcome)
- Stirling – with a quick stop at Steamroller Park and a delicious morning tea or lunch at
- Bridgewater (don’t forget to stop for a play at the Bridgewater Playground)
- Hahndorf – and stop in at the Hahndorf Fairy Garden, The Farm Barn or stop in for some strawberry picking at Beerenberg.
- Balhannah visit the Balhannah Playground with it’s giant nest swing and stop for a coffee at the Olive Branch Cafe
- Langhorne Creek and be sure to check out the kids tasting flight at one of our favourite family friendly wineries Kimbolton
- Lobethal where you can sample some of the chocolate goodness at Melba’s Chocolate Factory
- Nairne and say hello to the ducks at Byethorne Park
- Meadows plus stop at the Meadows Playground, especially pretty in Autumn
- Mt Compass with a bakery search, I feel like there should be a good bakery here?
- Littlehampton and surprise the family with a local Hidden Tunnel Adventure while you are nearby!
- Mt Torrens and for an extra adventure maybe find this one on your bikes via the Amy Gillet Bikeway
- Woodside with a pit stop at Melba’s Chocolates
- Milang plus check our the FREE Train Museum while you are here
- Strathalbyn and don’t miss the incredible new Aurora Park Playground
