Visit the Hahndorf Farm Barn
Open from 10am-4pm everyday
Hahndorf Farm Barn is a unique blend of a children’s farmyard and wildlife park. You can hold, touch and feed most of the animals in complete safety and at your own comfort level. SplashTown at Moonta
The October long weekend heralds the beginning of the 2025/26 season for Splash Town at Moonta.
This waterpark is completely FREE and consists of waterslides, mushrooms and a tipping bucket. Take a day trip to Moonta or better still, camp somewhere on the Copper Coast this long weekend!
Mini Golf
Mini Golf is fun for the whole family and we are lucky enough to have some amazing courses here in Adelaide. From West Beach to Victor Harbor, here are some of our favourite places to play Mini Golf.
Visit Cafe Bonython
Cafe Bonython is open all long weekend. What a great space to eat, catch up with friends and let the kids play on this amazing playground. Also, Kids recieve a FREE Bunyip Trail Pack with an activity sheet, crayons and duck food with any Breakfast or Lunch purchase.
Take a walk on the boardwalk
Nestled along Adelaide’s picturesque southern coastline, the Witton Bluff Base Trail is now fully open, offering families an inviting and accessible coastal adventure between Christies Beach and Port Noarlunga.
Go for a family bushwalk!
Spring is the perfect time to pack your backpacks with snacks and water, slap on some suncream and go for a good ‘ol family bushwalk!
There are plenty of great bushwalks across Adelaide & SA, some not too far from the CBD. Enjoy the great outdoors!
Visit the Adelaide Zoo
Open every day of the long weekend 9:30am – 5pm
Bring your little ones to explore the wild on a sunny adventure around the zoo! Enjoy being outside and quality family time as you move around to catch daily animal feeds, listen in to keeper talks and discover new animals like the cheeky tiger cubs! Swoop in for a flying sensation at 11:30am daily on the Central Lawn to learn about the feathered Adelaide Zoo residents at Free Flight Bird Show.
Visit Kies Winery
Open every day of the long weekend 11am – 4pm Monkey Nut Cafe at Kies Winery is open all long weekend and have the cutest Little Bee Budburst Boxes for kids lunches. This brand new pack is only $12 and includes:

A round or two at Shanx
Open all long weekend. 9am until 7pm
There’s now two SHANX venues in Adelaide, Regency Park and now Little Para. At both locations you’ll come across bunkers, twists and turns as you make your way across the green. Everything is provided, including a club and ball per person as well as a scoring card for the group. It’s never been more important to find fun and affordable outdoor activities that the whole family can take part in, and SHANX is that all over.
